Elana McDonald MD, FAAP
Pediatrician, Owner & Medical Director
Dr. McDonald, is a board-certified general pediatrician in Philadelphia, with over 18 years of experience. She is a graduate of Temple University and Pennsylvania State University College of Medicine at Hershey Medical Center. She completed a 3-year pediatric residency at St. Christopher’s Hospital for Children in 2003. Dr. McDonald is a fellow of the American Academy of Pediatrics. She is the proud mother of two sons.
Elana McDonald MD, FAAP

Christine Ferandos-Petrozzino MD, FAAP
Board Certified Pediatrician
Dr. Ferandos-Petrozzino is inspired by the spirit and resilience children exhibit every day. She has been practicing in Pediatrics since 2008 and joined the family of Pizzica Pediatrics in 2015. She earned her Bachelor's degree in Biochemistry/Molecular Biology from the University of Florida and her medical degree from St. George's University Medical School in 2002. She then completed her pediatric residency at SUNY Downstate Medical Center and subspecialty training in Pediatric Cardiology at UCSD Rady Children's Hosp in 2008. Dr. "F" is board certified in General Pediatrics and is a Fellow of the American Academy of Pediatrics. When spending family time, she enjoys traveling, playing video games, and watching anime.
Maia Francis MSN, CRNP, PPCNP-BC
Certified Registered Nurse Practitioner
Maia Francis, MSN, CRNP, PPCNP-BC, has been a Nurse Practitioner at Memphis Street Pediatrics since 2018. She has been living in New Jersey for a few years. Maia was born and raised in Bermuda, a small 21-sq-mile island in the Atlantic. She completed her studies at Gwynedd Mercy University. She has previously worked at Penn Presbyterian Hospital, Firely Pediatrics and Patient First Urgent Care. Maia is board certified as a Pediatric Primary Care Nurse Practitioner through the American Nurses Credentialing Center. Outside of her role at Memphis Street Pediatrics, she enjoys cooking, live music, movies and spending time with her family.

Emily Kolton, CRNP
Certified Registered Nurse Practitioner
Emily Kolton, CRNP has been a nurse practitioner with Pizzica Pediatrics since 2013. She
completed her BSN at Clemson University. She previously worked at Cooper University Hospital as a registered nurse while obtaining her MSN from the University of Pennsylvania as a Pediatric Nurse Practitioner-Primary Care. She is certified through the Pediatric Nursing Certification Board. When not in the office, she enjoys spending time with her family, watching movies, and cooking.
Elizabeth “Bess” Staebler, CRNP, MSN, RN

Elizabeth “Bess” Staebler, CRNP, MSN, RN has been working at Pizzica Pediatrics since 2013. She has spent her entire life in Philadelphia. She attended college at the University of Pennsylvania. She previously worked as a nurse at Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia and as a school nurse in Lower Merion School District. She then returned to Penn where she received her master’s degree as a Pediatric Primary Care Nurse Practitioner. Bess has interests in contraceptive counseling for teenagers and childhood mental health. She is currently pursuing a certificate as a Pediatric Primary Care Mental Health Specialist. When she is not taking care of her beloved patients, Bess enjoys reading, hiking, indoor cycling and cooking. She lives in Philadelphia with her dog, Lyle, who was rescued from Puerto Rico after Hurricane Maria.

Kelsea Green, MSN, FNP-BC
Certified Registered Nurse Practitioner
Kelsea Green MSN, FNP-BC is the newest addition to Castor Pediatrics. Born and raised in Philadelphia, she completed her undergrad science degree at Pennsylvania State University with a major in Bio-Behavioral Health and a minor in Spanish. She obtained her BSN shortly after at Drexel University in 2017, and worked as adolescent nurse until 2021. She then traveled as a med-surg travel nurse from 2021-2025 while going to LaSalle University for her Master's Degree in Nursing. In Summer of 2024 - she graduated and became a Family Nurse Practitioner certified through the ANCC. When not seeing patients, Kelsea enjoys traveling, giving back the community at her church or watching sports at home with her dog Sage.

OUR FACILITY
Our themed waiting and examination rooms are designed to provide a welcoming environment for our patients and their families. We draw blood on site, in our laboratory.
